I just woke up from this dream where I was driving around with Melissa Vale...shootin the breeze...
and she was telling me about some Canadian college student ritual that goes on this time every year where the "mermaids" come out.
I asked her what the mermaids were and she said I didnt want to know...
FINALLY she told me,
"they are women who think they can pee gracefully underwater"
I Don't Know Where I Get this Stuff--
and I sure dont know why you want it :)

Ha! Interesting dream… Actually I spent FOREVER last week helping Amanda hunt down her mermaid doll. You know she NEEDED that specific doll for whatever she was playing so we looked EVERYWHERE with me all the while saying, "are you sure you have a mermaid doll? I don't remember a mermaid doll… what does she look like?" Finally she located the "mermaid" under the crib and it turns out that the mermaid is actually the fair maiden or merry maid or whatever you call her from her Little People Castle set.
I was too wiped out by that point to explain that a mermaid is actually part woman/part fish so I just went with it. So although Amanda clearly needs to know what a mermaid is, I do not think I'll be sharing Courtney's explanation with her. Because though I have my suspicions that at the tender age of three, Amanda probably is a mermaid, I really don't want to know about it. It would take a little bit of the fun out of bathtime, to have her yelling "Mommy, Mommy, look at me, I'm a mermaid!"
Oh gross. Not again.
