I always loved this cake. Remember standing in line for it at the Children's Home Society Bazaar? Do they still have those bazaars? And if so, why don't we go anymore? Whenever I eat this cake I get the distinct urge to buy Christmas ornaments. Is it just me?
I always liked the title of this cake. Made me think this cake was just going to be a total blast to eat. That was until Mom explained "Fun and Fantasy" was just the name of the Children's Home Society Chapter who contributed the recipe.
The "Fun and Fantasy Chapter". Sorta makes you wonder what they did at their meetings, doesn't it? Wasn't Mom a member of that chapter? And why do they call it a "chapter" anyway?
The Fun and Fantasy chapter... it sounds like it should be part of a Harlequin romance novel.
I belonged to Goldilocks Chapter. . . you remember the story about Goldilocks and the 3 bears don't you? Maybe that's where my facination for bears began. No, that's not true. You are the one that got me started making bears, just what I needed was ANOTHER hobby. I loved it.
